I bought these shoes new two years ago and used them when riding gravel, rail trails and backroads. They are typical Shimano fit, with a wide forefoot and generous toebox. The fit is true. The outsole is polyurethane, which can be slippery on hard surfaces. The shoes are stiff enough to allow efficient pedaling without being so stiff that walking is difficult. The condition is very good. No rips or tears.
